These NCBE sets are for an old friend who had twins in November. They were born at just over 30wks and were able to come home last week.

"Patchwork" Notebook Cover - front

Using a tutorial from Craft Apple's blog, I made this nifty little notebook cover. I absolutely love the fabrics (Tiddlywinks, I think)... the colors are so bright & funky!

I was planning to make these as teacher gifts, but I don't know if that's going to happen given the current health status of the house. I am trapped tomorrow, so maybe I'll get started as long as everyone can keep from getting sick!

Baby Shower Bananza!

The following few posts are gifts for a triple baby shower I won't be attending tonight (sick kiddo). This is a great pattern (New Conceptions Baby Essentials) and goes together so nicely! This particular set is 6-9m size.

NCBE, size 0-3m

Snowman Ornament

100_3602, originally uploaded by aimeemade.

Every year I do an ornament exchange with a group of women I've known for 10 years. We were all due to have babies in July 1997. This is my contribution this year :)

It's really painful for me to do things without a pattern. My brain just doesn't easily work that way! I saw something similar to this in the craft store, but of course there was no pattern sheet so I had to come up with something on my own. I used black beads for the eyes, a deco stitch on my sewing machine for the nose and French knots for the mouth (you know, like coals). Not too shabby if I do say so myself!!
